Without this link to many friends, life would feel less full. Thank you for providing this light, this link. It has meant the world to me.

I so love this community you have fostered, Larry. It’s a space where I learned how to be courageous and add my voice the world.

The ripples you have sent out have terraformed so many of our lives.

I am so incredibly lucky I found your site. It changed everything for me.

When I signed up to be a six-word memoir participant more than 12 yrs ago I could never have imagined what a big part of my life it would become. From learning to express myself in six words and the accompanying backstories to having my memoirs published in several of the six-word memoir books to meeting Larry! at a book reading in Brooklyn, my life has been enriched and enhanced. My family and friends (and even my therapist) let me know when I utter a six and also readily point out their own. I only wish I could get a few to join the site. Being a part of six words is a treasure, a treat and a thrill. Thanks to the six community for being so generous with their thoughts, feelings and ideas and to Larry for implementing his dream and continuing to make the site all it can be. I am grateful to him and all the sixers for being eager participants in this unique and sometimes life-changing experience. ~favepeep

sixwordmemoirs was like breath for me for a long while. it brought me so much joy, and a bit of nice surprise when i was memoirist of the month long ago.

i loved being able to edit my thoughts into six word snippets. it became an obsession. at one time (do you still have this?) there was an option to submit stories, which was another pleasant diversion.

i have been away for a few years and i don’t recognize the new formats, but i will always be grateful to have found your site, larry smith.

thank you 🕊️

This year makes TEN years since I joined this amazing community. SWM is like home and has done a lot of good in my life from building lasting friendships to making me smile when I need it most to being a great, supportive platform for my writing endeavors. Glad the site is back up and running. Life wasn't the same without it. Kudos to Larry and the tech team!
